Hi, it’s Shan! I’m a Book Blogger, and my motto is: Read Widely & Read Diverse Spines.
Reading has been my major form of self-care; I love books and all things bookish. I rediscovered my love of reading as an adult, and found books as a solace during the pandemic. Now, I’m based in South Africa and am reading during my ups and downs.
Inspired by Jamise Harper’s #DiverseSpines, I prioritize reading books written by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Disabled, and International Authors. I also love book of all genres, including audiobooks, graphic novels, memoirs, cookbooks, non-fiction, and fantasy.
I love giving personalized recommendations, as well as highlighting my favorite books. I also like to cater my month’s reading based on the month’s theme – which you can see in my blog posts.
If you’re hoping to increase your book reading goal, this is also the place for you. I’ve read 100+ books a year for the past last three years, and have helped some friends reach their book goals. With some tips and tools, I think reading can become an integral part of your life, like it has for me!
